Service for Andrea Gallegos Torrez, 69, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Vasquez will officiate. Burial will be in Bono Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home. Andrea Gallegos passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 in San Antonio. She was born January 4, 1946 in Artesia, New Mexico to Jose and Theodora Ponce Gallegos. She married Edward Torrez, Sr. on April 20, 1967 in California. Mrs. Torrez worked as a medical assistant for over 20 years. She was of the Catholic faith. Andrea enjoyed shopping, trips to Oklahoma, sewing and crocheting. She was known as a lady with strong character and a giving nature, who could light up any room with her smile. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband (2005); and several brothers and sisters. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her son, Edward Torrez and wife Idalia; daughters, Erica Torrez and life partner, Samantha Cervantes; and Diana Torrez; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Pete Gallegos; sisters, Olivia Vasquez, Maria “Chelina” Gomez, and Rosa Gallegos.
