Service for Arleta Virginia Lanman, 87, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016 in the Grandview Nursing Home Chapel. Mr. Kern Porter will officiate. Interment will be private. Visitation will be from 6-8:30 P.M., Friday, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Arleta Virginia Lanman went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Grandview. Her devotion to her family and firm belief in God supported her and gave her peace. Arleta was born to Guy and May Simpson Watson in Cleburne on Nov. 18, 1928. She married the love of her life, Gerold Lloyd Lanman on March 16, 1950 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1989. Arleta raised her three children with patience, discipline and humility. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and led by example. Survivors include her sister, Waulena (Pete) Pollock; three daughters, Karin (Stephen) Kerby, Lisa Robinson and Marca Stirniman; grandchildren, Timothy (Jill), Daniel (Rose), Matthew, Phillip (Cassy), Keith (Jennifer), Valerie (Kevin), and Leah (Joel); 11 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
