Services for Asa Lynn Ellis, 45, of Fort Worth and formerly of Grandview, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 22, 2011 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Kenneth Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Ms. Ellis passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 in Fort Worth. She was born to Henry Edward and Ida Ruth Marshall Ellis in Cleburne on December 16, 1966. Asa was an attorney at law, specializing in Social Security Administration for the past couple of years. She was a member of Buel Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and shopper. Asa was known for her ability to light up a room with her smile and laughter, often causing her to be the center of attention. Asa was a loyal and fierce friend. Her infectious laughter and wicked sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her parents, Henry and Ida Ruth Ellis; brother, Lance Ellis and his wife, Janine; nieces, Sydney Ellis, Allison Robinson, and Abbie Brown; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
