Betty Jean Tinney (nee Hearn) of Cleburne, TX, passed into the everlasting arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 8, 2016. Betty was born December 24, 1929 in Dallas to John Lowe and Agnes Recane Hearn. She was a retired LVN with the State of Texas in Austin where she lived most of her life. Survivors include her daughter, Corlis Cornils and husband Jay; grandson, Josh Sokolewicz and wife Kate of McKinney; granddaughter, Emily Rowan and her husband Aaron of Grapevine; sister, Jane Sanford of San Antonio, TX, along with four great grandchildren, Jacob, Judson, Autumn and Reagan. A special thank you is extended on behalf of the family to the staff of Colonial Manor Nursing Center for their love and care. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church of Cleburne, 205 S. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033, for the renovation of their new worship center.
