Service for Billy George Lain, 75, of Kopperl will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 11, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Brent Farrin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Forsythe, Jimmy McCormick, Richard Runnels, Jimmy Bachaffer, Gerry Robinson and Jeff Barrett from the Masonic Lodge No. 292 in Kopperl. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. Burial will follow in Baker-Lain Cemetery. Mr. Lain passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in Ft. Worth. He was born Nov. 12, 1936 in Johnson County to Craven Miles and Beatrice Eudell Carlock Lain. He married Annie Charlene Riddle on Jan. 4, 1955 in Meridian. Mr. Lain was a retired diesel mechanic and a member of the Kopperl Masonic Lodge No. 292. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughters, Georgia Garland and husband Bob of Granbury, Pam Robinson and husband Jerry of Kopperl, Carol Carpenter of Glen Rose and Sherry Edwards and husband Keith of Flin Flon, Manatoba, Canada; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, soon to be 15; brother, Joe Lain and wife Daphne of Glen Rose; two sisters, Joyce McCurdy and Peggy Bryant, both of Burleson. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Annie Charlene Lain on Sept. 22, 2010.
