Graveside service for Billy E. Walker, 77, of Alvarado will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Bono Cemetery. The Reverend Charles E. Payne and the Reverend Brooks Monk will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home. Billy E. Walker passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Alvarado. He was born October 24, 1937 in Bono to Osce Edward and Gracie Evelyn Vidler Walker. He married Dorothy Marie McCarty on December 20, 1963 in Cleburne. Mr. Walker was an electrician for Santa Fe Railroad with 42 years of service. He enjoyed playing dominoes and in his earlier years he coached Little League. Billy loved his family, friends and his church. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge and an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Walker of Alvarado; children, Shanda Walker, Alicia Walker and Bristol Walker; great-grandchildren, Breydon, Teyton, and Chloe Walker; sister, Linda Ganong; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
