Billye Bryant

Service for Billye Bess Hunt Bryant, 91, of Covington will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 18, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Covington. Dr. Eric Black and the Reverend David Bristow will officiate. Burial will be in Covington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Bryant, Jeremy Bryant, Jason Bryant, Cody Bryant, James Bryant, and Todd Coldert. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Billye Bess Hunt Bryant passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Grandview. She was born January 8, 1925 in Osceola to James Colon (J.C.) and Agnes Throckmorton Hunt. She married James T. Bryant on December 27, 1943 in Cleburne. Mrs. Bryant worked as an office manager before retiring and was a loving wife, mother, grand-, great grand-, and great-great grandmother, sister, and a friend to many. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Covington. Survivors include her two sons, Terry Bryant and wife Janet and Charles Bryant and wife Mary Lynn, all of Covington; sister, Helen Hunt Smith of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James T. Bryant on June 28, 2005; son, Timothy Bryant; two brothers, Charles and Wilbur Hunt; and two sisters, Moree Wolters and Pauline Easdon.
