Services for Charles H. Cox, 70, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 5, 2012 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Cox passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Cleburne. He was also born in Cleburne to Lem Henry and Mattie Eileen Hasty Cox on May 28, 1941. Charles was of the Baptist faith. He married Dolores Brown on November 19, 1961 in Cleburne. He worked as an assembler with Lockheed Martin, retiring in March of 2009, after 37 years of service. He was a quiet man with a strong will, who always put his family first. Charles enjoyed hunting and making knives. His loving nature and independent spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gary Cox and Carolyn Cox; and his beloved Boston Terrier, Panda Sue. Survivors include his wife of almost 51 years, Dolores Cox; children, Jeff Cox and wife, Terri, Tracy Cooper, Robert Cox and wife, Sonja; adopted daughter and niece, Donna Patterson; grandchildren, Chasta Ledeboer and husband, Brian, Brandon Dixon and wife, Christal, Justin Cox, Cheyenne Wilson, Derek Harris, and Dessira Harris; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Jaxon, Brianna, Heaven, and Caden; brothers, Kenneth, Don, Leon, and Keith Cox; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
