Claralee Pfeiffer

Claralee (Clare) Kreutzer Pfeiffer was born in the summer of 1950 in Washington, MO to Pearl Schunemeyer and William John (John) Kruetzer of Owensville, MO. She was raised on her family farm near Centralia, Mo and graduated from Sunnydale Seventh-day Adventist Academy in 1968. After attending Union College in Lincoln, NE, she graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in medical technology in 1972. Working in that field for the span of her career in Madison, TN; San Jose, CA and a number of laboratories in Central MO, she retired while working in clinical microbiology at UM-C Hospital. She is survived by her daughter Christine, a Physician Assistant (PA-C), and son-in-law, Doctor Don Allison, residing in Mossy Rock, Washington; William Charles (Bill) Pfeiffer, husband of 36 years; and cousin, Randolph (Randy) and his wife Charlene of Cleburne. Clare enjoyed a life-long passion for playing organ and piano music and finally played regularly at the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church of Cleburne where she was also Sabbath School Superintendent. She also played at a number of other churches in Cleburne, Texas, Columbia, MO, and San Jose, Calif. Clare succumed to triple-negative breast cancer following surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and a number of alternative treatments that sustained hope as the disease progressed. Clare's family will forever be thankful for the love and support provided during final months of illness. A graveside remembrance service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at the family cemetery in Centralia, MO. Service Centralia, Missouri Tuesday, September 18, 2012 1:00 P.M.
