Clarance Newton Obituary

Clarance C. Newton passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 in Ft. Worth. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church. A private family burial was held in Keene Memorial Park. He was born January 13, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to Clarance C. Sr. and Laura Ethel Baker Newton. He married Judy Weigley on Nov. 22, 1979 in Keene. Mr. Newton served in the Unites States Army. He was a teacher and a principal for the Seventh-day Adventist schools, retiring with 35 years of service. He was a member of Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife, Judy Newton of Alvarado; sons, Clarance Newton III of Burleson and Wayne Newton (Lydia) of Castle Valley, UT; four step children, Gary Fancher (Kathy) of Downers Grove, IL, Shelly Fancher of Alvarado, Dana Hansen (Jeff) of Weatherford, and Dawn Janzen (Warren) of Cookeville, TN; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marguerite Holcomb Newton; two sisters, Wanda Bell and Lee Monroe; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Newton. Memorials may be made to Joshua Adventist Multi-Grade School, 1912 Conveyor Dr., Joshua, TX 76058.
