Service for David Herman Fife, 71, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home. David Herman Fife, descendant of Chief Sapulpa, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2017 in Cleburne. He was born Dec. 18, 1945 in Sapulpa, OK to Dawes Sr. and Irene A. Jones Fife. He married Rene Kay Pipkin on Feb. 26, 1967 in Keene. Mr. Fife worked at Harris Pine Mills for 17 years, then at a warehouse for Lockheed Martin and later in life worked as an LVN. He was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith. Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Rene Kay Fife of Cleburne; sister, Eizabeth Orr; two nephews, Michael Orr and Adam Pipkin; two nieces, Jeannie Triplett and Amity Pipkin Herren; and many other nieces and nephews and his “Bitty Boy” and lifelong friend, Dennis Jackson Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dawes Fife, Jr.; sister, Virginia Oz; two nephews, Terry Wayne Orr and David Allen Orr; father-in-law, James Pipkin; and mother-in-law, Ida Pipkin Sewell.
