Services for Delores Wilson Martindale, 57, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Westhill Church of Christ, 1100 West Westhill Drive, Cleburne. Burial will follow in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cherokee Home for Children, P.O. Box 295, Cherokee, Texas 76832. Delores' 3 ½ year battle with cancer was brought to an end as she went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Cleburne. Delores was born November 27, 1954 in High Prairie, Alberta, Canada to Harold and June Skinner Wilson. She married Bobby Martindale in Blum, Texas on April 20, 1973. Delores has been a Christian for over 33 years and a member of Parker Church of Christ for over 16 years. She retired from operating her own cleaning service in August of 2011. She was a strong willed and protective mother and grandmother, who put God and her family first. She had bounds of energy and spent countless hours helping others. She took pride in her home and enjoyed reading and shopping in her spare time. Nanaw's loving spirit and giving nature will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Wilson; and brothers, Alvin and Allan Wilson. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Bobby Martindale; daughters and sons in law, Laurie and Glen Jernigan, Lisa and Roger Hall, and Chrystal and Mike Kolander; 8 grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, Dakota, Cheyenne "Shiney", Brazos, Noah, Joshua, and Caleb; mother, June Wilson; siblings, Elaine McDonald, Laura Smith, Gloria Wilson, and Darlene Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
