Service for Donna Jean Poteet, 61, of Burleson will be conducted at 9:00 A.M., Monday, August 17, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Scott Sharman will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Donna Jean Poteet passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Ft. Worth. She was born February 17, 1954 in Cleburne to Billy Doty and Carolyn Lanelle Allen. She married Mike Poteet on February 16, 1980 and he preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs. Poteet was a nursing home administrator who loved cooking and taking care of others. She was a member of Alsbury Baptist Church in Burleson. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her children, David Poteet and wife Ashley, Justin Poteet, and Amanda Raines and husband Don; grandchildren, Garrett, Kadyn, Payton, Sierra, and Luke; mother, Lanelle Allen; siblings, Carolyn Betzen and husband Bill and Larry Doty and wife Jeannie; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Mike; and grandparents, Lester and Thelma Nickell and Y.H. and Fannie Doty.
