Service for Donna Kay Rogers, 53, of Kopperl, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Chris Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Kopperl Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home. Donna Kay Rogers passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Clifton. She was born February 19, 1960 in Arlington to Johnny Levi and Dorothy June Norton Avrett. She married Dean Rees on July 17, 2012 in Cleburne. Donna worked as a registered nurse for many years in Cleburne. She was a hard worker who was devoted to taking care of everyone else, even above herself. She enjoyed computer games, Lifetime movies, and working in the yard. She was an animal lover, especially her beloved dog, Alley. Donna was of the Baptist faith. Her love for life and giving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Dean Rees; mother, Dorothy Avrett, children, Ginger Ratliff and husband Darrell, Kayla Flowers and husband Steven, and Shawna Johnston and husband Matt; stepsons, Chris and Kevin Rees; nine grandchildren, Cierra, Colten, Michael, Jordan, Cheyenne, Dylan, Nathaniel, Jonathan and Liam; siblings, Dana Hubble and Debra West and husband John; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Avrett and her first husband, Terry Rogers.
