Service for Donnie Montgomery, 82, of Cleburne will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Keith Whitt will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Donnie Montgomery passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 in Cleburne. He was born April 20, 1933 in Lillian to Otis Marion and Nancy Withers Montgomery. He married Lodene Lovell on April 18, 1957 in Cleburne. Mr. Montgomery served in the United States Army in Korea. He was a retired counselor for FCI and also worked at McCoy’s Building Center. He was a member of North Cleburne Baptist Church. Donnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lodene Montgomery of Cleburne; sons, Jim Montgomery and wife Melinda of Cleburne and Monty Montgomery and wife Teri of Burleson; grandchildren, Kane Montgomery and wife Robyn and Kole Montgomery and wife Chelce, all of Rio Vista, and Braden Montgomery and Madison Montgomery, both of Burleson; great grandchildren, Garrett Vaughan, and Weston, Shadie, and Riley Montgomery, all of Rio Vista; sister, Barbara, (Doodie) Cronkrite of Lillian; sister-in-law, Nelda Montgomery of Alvarado; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Douglas and Peggy Gillespie; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
