Services for Dorothy Dossey, 91, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, in the Granbury Street Church of Christ. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in the Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Mr. Kevin Rhodes will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Dossey passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, in Cleburne. She was born July 2, 1923, in Montgomery County, Texas, to Albert Mirian and Mattie Ola Thompson Fry. She married James L. Dossey on Aug. 31, 1940, in Houston. He preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Dossey was a secretary for the Alvarado ISD with 18 years of service. She was a member of the Granbury Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Dossey is survived by three children, Ronald Lynn Dossey and wife, Leena, of Austin, Dennis Jay Dossey and wife, Melanie, of Spring and Anita Gail Slater and husband, Bill, of Alvarado; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Patrick Dossey in 1958; and her sister, Mary Beth Nixon.
