Service for Dorothy Dot Harper, 86, of Joshua will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 in the Lane Prairie Baptist Church. The Reverend Jerry Clements will officiate. Graveside service will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, in Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Harper passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 in Ft. Worth. She was born March 27, 1927 to C.H. and Eleanor Beall Karr McBride. Dot married T.W. Dub Harper on Nov. 1, 1947 in Parker County. Dot was a homemaker and a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church. She was dedicated to her faith. She was known as a prayer warrior. In addition to reading her Bible daily she was an avid reader of just about anything she could get her hands on. Her example of living in strong faith will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew her. Dot was preceded by her parents, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include her husband, T.W. Dub Harper; daughters, Becky Benson and husband Ralph, and Judy Peacock and husband David; sons, Brett Harper and wife Linda and Tom Harper; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Homer McBride and wife Joan; three sisters, Esther McMullen, Evelyn Curry and husband Robert, and Marie Lutzinger; and several other relatives and friends.
