A service for Dr. Charles M. Underhill, 90, of Keene, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, June 5, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Bill Kilgore will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home. Dr. Charles M. Underhill passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Keene. He was born September 20, 1925 in Battle Lake Minnesota to John Frederick and Alice Mertie (Waterman) Underhill. Dr. Underhill was a professor at the Southwestern Adventist University. He served in the US Navy and was a member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. Dr. Charles Underhill is survived by his children Jerry Underhill and wife Sandra of Fort Worth and Charles Underhill and wife Lisa of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Andrea Janes Melander and husband, Mike, Shawn Janes, Alexandria Underhill Hopps and husband, Gary, Nicholas Underhill and wife, Briana, Zachary Underhill, Parker Underhill and Jason Underhill; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Ruth Clark and Dolores Vose; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Kris Underhill on May 28, 2015; two daughters Joanne Janes and Kristie Underhill; granddaughter Michelle Janes; great-grandson Matthew Melander and sister, Norene Struble.
