Service for Eddie Grant, 58, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, Mar. 8, 2016 in the First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. E.D. Ingram will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernest Lee Brown, Jr., Lionel J. Carlton, Brandon J. Carlton, Stanley Grant, Jr., Trevor Taylor, and Trenton Jarred Carlton. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home. Eddie Grant passed away Wednesday, Mar. 2, 2016 in Keene. He was born April 10, 1957 in Alvarado to Robert W. and Omellen Norwood Grant. Eddie was a 1977 graduate of Cleburne High School. He was baptized at First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at the age of 12 and served as an usher for many years. He loved singing and listening to gospel music. He truly loved the Lord. Survivors include his mother, Omellen Grant; sisters, Cynthia Brown and husband Ernest, Valerie Carlton, and Angela Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Grant; two sisters, Audrey Grant and Anita Groover; and brothers, Robert Grant, Jr. and Stanley Grant, Sr.
