Service for Edith “Marie” McQueen, 81, of Joshua, formerly of Claremore, OK, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 13, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Terry Hobley will officiate, assisted by Brother Ervin Spain. Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Spain, David Spain, Danny Thomas, Danny Cansler, Anthony (Tony) Spain, and John Dishman. Visitation will be from 5-6:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Edith “Marie” McQueen passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Alvarado. She was born April 19, 1934 in Tuscaloosa, AL to Willis Carroll and Clemmie Gertrude Falls Spain. Ms. McQueen worked in restaurant management for Pizza Hut and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, quilting and helping everyone. She is remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her sons, Robert Bruce McQueen of Cleburne, Jimmy Dale McQueen of Purdy, MO, Ted Alan McQueen of Springfield, MO; daughter, Karen Barton of Joshua; seven grandchildren, Casey McQueen, Steven Barton, Jamie Bolin, David, Randy, Tyler, and Nathan McQueen; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, William Allen Spain and wife Hazel Bea of Livingston, Ervin Dale Spain of Clyde; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stephen McQueen; father of her children, Ralph McQueen; brothers, Dayton Lee and John Spain; sister, Loretta Kay Alexander; and sister-in-law, Vanita Marcia Spain.
