Service for Edna Juanita Payne, 76, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Edna Juanita Payne passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Mansfield. She was born July 11, 1938 in Searcy, Arkansas to William and Lavada Cooper Wiggs. She married James B. Payne on July 18, 1953 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2009. Mrs. Payne operated her own grocery store in Frost, Texas and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her son, Mike Payne; daughter, Patti Mathis and husband Larry; grandchildren, Justin, Kassi and Kevin, Jeff and Mandy, Jordan and Andy; great grandchildren, Bentley Mehler; sisters, Martha Johnson and Mary Underwood; brothers, Bob Wiggs and Jim Wiggs; brother-in-law, John Shellhorse; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; numerous brothers and sisters; and son-in-law, Jim Butler.
