Graveside service for Elder LeRoy J. Leiske, 96, of Keene will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 in Keene Memorial Park. Pastor Carl Johnston will officiate. Pallbearers will be Nick Underhill, Brett Leiske and Gary Hopps. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Elder LeRoy J. Leiske passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 in Keene. He was born July 27, 1920 in Bentley, Alberta, Canada to George and Amelia Unterseher Leiske. He married Sylvia Lockert on June 1, 1943 and she preceded him in death on Feb. 25, 2012, after 68 years of marriage. Elder Leiske was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and a dear friend to many. He served as past President of Southwestern Adventist University of Keene. He loved the Lord and held many leadership positions in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Nanci Slease of Granbury and Sandra Underhill and her husband Jerry of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Alexandria Hopps, Nick Underhill and Brett Leiske and wife Crystal; great grandchildren, Haley Leiske, Kal-El Leiske, Ava Underhill and Ashton Underhill; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
