Graveside services for Elizabeth Jane Boyd, 85, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Mrs. Boyd passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Fort Worth. She was born to Kenneth and Birdie Jane Smith Morford on January 9, 1929 in Van Buren County, Arkansas. She married William Boyd on July 22, 1948 in Roland, Arkansas. She attended Henderson State Teachers College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Elizabeth was employed by First National Bank in Cleburne for 30 years, after which she worked part time in her son’s law office. She was a member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sons, Kenneth Boyd and Thomas Boyd. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jane Boyd of Houston; sister, Jean Peeples and husband, Dr. George Peeples of Gurdon, Arkansas; two nieces; two great nieces; one great-great nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends.
