Service for Essie Mae Steward, 93, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Mike Mizell will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. Essie Mae Steward passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born October 28, 1921 in Files Valley, TX to Robert and Dora Hardin Campbell. She married Melvin Jeff Steward on September 5, 1941 and Jeff preceded her in death on May 28, 1998. Mrs. Steward worked as a supervisor at Rangeaire. She was a member of Henderson St. Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra and James Chasteen; son, Melvin Jerry Steward, all of Cleburne; grandchildren, John Abdnor, Amy Lynn Kinkead, Tamera Figueroa, Lisa Dorzial, Dustin Steward; 13 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
