Service for Esther Chism, 84, of Grandview will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Watts Chapel United Methodist Church. The Reverend Kevin Diggs will officiate. Burial will be in Watts Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Mrs. Chism passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 in Ft. Worth. She was born April 23, 1927 in Priddy, Texas to Erich and Martha Hein Siegmund. She married Reuben Harrell Chism on September 17, 1946. Mrs Chism was a retired bookkeeper. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, quilting and gardening and was a member of Watts Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons, Dr. Larry Chism and wife Vicki of Tyler and Harrell Chism of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Will and Laura Chism, Carter and Lauren Chism, Coleman Chism, Brent Chism, Jeremy and Michelle Chism and Katherine and Brad Harsha. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erich and Martha Siegmund; husband Reuben Harrell Chism; brother Alvin Siegmund and sister Leona Rambo.
