Eula Faye Harwell

Service for Eula Faye Downs Harwell, 84, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Her son, the Reverend Jack R. Harwell, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Eula Faye Downs Harwell passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016. She was born on Sept 29, 1932 in Brownfield, Texas to Benjamin Arron and Permilia Beauchamp Downs. She married Jack Ren Harwell in June of 1949. She was a devoted Christian active in the PTA for J.N. Long and Irving schools. She was a bluebird and campfire leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother for several years. During the summers Eula coached baseball for both her sons and daughters. In the past few years she was in charge of calling bingo at the Senior Citizen Center. She is survived by her daughters Jacklyn Gail Crisp of Ft Worth, Texas, Katherine Orsborn of Arlington, Texas, Patricia Lee, and Becky Harwell of Cleburne, Texas and son Jack Ren Harwell Jr. of Malad, Idaho. Fourteen grand children: Steve Crisp (Belinda), John Crisp (finance Laura), Patrick Crisp (Melissa), Katherine Womack, Charles Bates, Daniel Bates (Wendy), Rebecca Roque, Regina Norton (Kenneth) Sharon Sirret (Jason), Sarah Paul (Chris), William Harwell, Amanda Duncan (Jessy), Felipe Harwell (Valerie). Sister: Wandra Carper, and Sister in Law, Mary Calvert. She was blessed with forty one great grandchildren and twenty great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Jack R. Harwell, Sr.; Sisters: Katherine Edwina Hughes, Sondra Leverett. Brothers: Edwin James Downs, Ralph Israel and Jessie Israel, Son James Glen Harwell, grandson Zechariah James Baxter, great great granddaughters Gloria Barnett Bates and Torrie Coggin Harwell and three great great grandsons, Cole Harwell, Stephen Andrews, and Jacob Dewayne Robinson.
