Service for Evelyn Boone Runnels, 89, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 10, 2012, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Revered Michael Sawyer will officiate. Burial will be in Baker-Lain Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM. Pallbearers will be Kevin Runnels, Keith Runnels, Richard Doyle, Randy Terry, Chuck Angeley and Rick Rodriguez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Izak Ramirez, James Angeley, Steve Kennedy and Sammy Randolph. Evelyn Boone Runnels went to be with the Lord peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, October 7, 2012. She was born on April 19, 1923 in Kopperl, Texas to Hatcher and Lizzie McBride Boone. Evelyn was a homemaker and retired seamstress. Every Sunday, the house was full of family, love and good ole red beans and cornbread. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason in 1978 and son, Ronny in 1999. Evelyn is survived by her children, Delphus Runnels and wife, Linda Kay of Cleburne, Barbara Robinson and husband, Bill of Rio Vista, Brenda Hall and husband, Butch of Rio Vista; daughter-in-law, Margaret Runnels of Cleburne; grandchildren, Angela Angeley, Kevin Runnels, Laina Terry, Shelly Rodriguez, Stacy Runnels, Keith Runnels and Wendi Hall; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and one great-great-granddaughter on the way.
