Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Cotton passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Cleburne. He was born March 20, 1937 in Cleburne to John Frederick and Vera Mae Keesee Wesson. He married Barbara Young on March 30, 1956 in Cleburne. Cotton enjoyed the rodeo and spent many years with his family traveling and competing in bull riding and steer wrestling. He passed his great love for hunting and fishing to his kids and grandkids; lots of laughs and great memories were made at the deer camps and river banks. Cotton was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Wesson, and a son, David Wayne Wesson. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Wesson; daughter, Pam Simms and husband Steve; and son, Garland “Buck” Wesson and wife Dina. Paw-Paw’s pride and joy were his grandkids and great–grandkids. Grandkids, Chase Simms and wife Trisha, Justin Wesson and wife Amy, Darland Roeber and husband Tom, Shemele Hodges and husband Cole, Chance Wesson and wife Erin, and Tait Wesson and wife Jenny. He was blessed to enjoy 11 great-grandkids, Kailey and Colton Roeber, Ryder, Addy, and Myles Simms, Kenzie and Brynlee Hodges; Issac, Hoytt, and Starr Wesson; and Eden Wesson; one brother, Bill Wesson; and a sister, Margie Mae Smith. The family would like to give a special thank you to Ridgeview Rehabilitation and Community Hospice for their care and support.
