Service for Gary Fisher, 69, of Godley will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 in the First Baptist Church of Burleson. Dr. Gary Crawford will officiate, assisted by Brother David Couch and Dr. Joe Cathey. Burial will be in Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home. After a courageous battle with glioblastoma, Gary Fisher passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born Oct. 1, 1947 in Cleburne to George Thomas and Dorothy Marie Paris Fisher. He married Marion Ann Warren on Dec. 5, 1970 in Godley. Mr. Fisher served in the United States Army Reserve and National Guard. He worked for the U.S. Government in multiple roles, including Department of Army, EPA, FEMA, and the Department of Agriculture until retiring. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burleson and formerly the First Baptist Church of Godley. Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Ann Warren Fisher of Godley; son, Danny Fisher and wife Denise of Godley; daughter, Jennifer Fisher Brown and husband David of Burleson; grandchildren, Morgan Brynn Fisher, Brayden Thomas Fisher, Gracie Nicole Brown, Caden Lee Brown and Fisher Reed Brown; sisters, Billie Joycelyn Thomas and Doris Jean Mears and husband Clyde, all of Cleburne; sister-in-law, Jan Davis and husband Ronnie of Godley; brother-in-law, Joe Warren and wife Kelly of Archer City; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Mo Warren; and mother-in-law, Anita Warren.
