Gelacio Elizalde

Funeral mass for Gelacio V. Elizalde, 76, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 2, 2013 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Gelacio V. Elizalde passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born Dec. 29, 1936 in Las Tablas, Del Ciudad Maiz, Mexico to Mercelino Elizalde and Edmeregilda Velmarez. He married Maria Argandona on May 6, 1956 in Mexico. Mr. Elizalde worked as a welder and carpenter in the machine shop for Greenbrier, formerly know as Gunderson. He enjoyed feeding birds at his home. He also enjoyed doing all kinds of yard work, picking up pecans and having coffee at Chaf-in every morning. He was of the Catholic faith. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Maria Elizalde; sons, Juan Elizalde, Juvenal Elizalde and wife, Gloria, Rene Elizalde and wife Sylvia and Jimmy Elizalde; daughters, Angelica Robles and husband Raul, Luz Elena Gomez, Araceli Donjuan and husband Alejandro, and Maria Rodriguez and husband Frank; grandchildren, Vilma Ramon, Isamar Elizalde, Julie Hernandez, Jackelyn Robles, Manuel and Danny Gomez, Jessica and Jessenia Elizalde, Julio, Omar, and Oscar Donjuan, Sonia Stella, and Dana Leigh Elizalde; Janette, Franky and Joanne Rodriguez; great grandchildren, Aidan Velazquez, Matthew Gomez, Jasmin, Sonia, Amy and Jared Gomez, and Julian, Isahi, Jeremiah and Ariana Donjuan.
