Service for George T. Irvin, 75, of De Leon will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 7, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Irvin passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 in De Leon. He was born June 16, 1938 in Ft. Worth to William Taylor and Annie Louise Stubbs Irvin. He married Bonnie Lou Rogers Huggins on June 26, 1986 in Ft. Worth. Mr. Irvin was a building contractor and in later years raised cattle on his ranch. He was a member of the American Hereford Association and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Irvin of De Leon; son, William Carey Irvin of Burleson; daughter, Marcella Marie Smith and husband Barry of Houston; a step-son, Billy Shane Huggins; grandchildren, Jorden, Emily, Luke; and a step-grandson, Brandon Shane Huggins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Charles William Irvin.
