Georgia Esthar Davidson Peterson, 71, has finished her course and kept the faith. A celebration of her victorious life with be held be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at the First United Pentecostal Family Church located at 1000 Woodard @ Ridgeway in Cleburne. Burial will be at Baker Lain Cemetery. Pastor DeWaun Ashley and Bishop F. L. Ashley will be officiating. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00P.M.-8:00 P.M., at the church. Nanny passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 after a short illness. She was born on March 22, 1942 in Kosciusko, MS to George Hall and Velma Pearl Davidson and was the youngest of four girls. She was married to Joe Peterson for 47 years. Sis. Peterson has been a long time, faithful member of the First United Pentecostal Family Church in Cleburne since 1974 where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and with the praise singers, as well as several other areas of ministry in the church through the years. She worked at Walls Industries for over 30 years. She loved God, her family, her church, animals, licorice jelly beans, boiled peanuts, Mexican food, clearance sales and shoes. pretty shoes. Nanny and PawPaws house has been a second home to many. Mrs. Peterson is survived by her children, Cynthia Chapman of Cleburne; Theresa Adair of Goatneck; Joe T. Peterson and wife Elaine of Alvarado and Jamie Peterson and wife Christie of Goatneck; her grandchildren, Ryan Adair and wife Jennifer, Terry Peterson, Tarah Hardin and husband Warren, Jonathan Chapman, Sterlin Peterson, Destin Chapman, Justin Peterson and Monique Peterson as well as seven great grandchildren, several siblings and a number of nieces, nephews, family members and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her mother and father; mother and father in law; her step father; two sisters; one half brother; and three grandchildren.
