Service for H. Glenn Manning, 85, of Burleson will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 11, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Kenneth Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home. Mr. Manning passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 in Ft. Worth. He was born Aug. 6, 1927 in Grandview to Sydney Evan and Alice Leona Blunt Manning. He married Betty Jean Bruton on Dec. 23, 1950 in Hillsboro, Texas. Mr. Manning retired from General Dynamics in 1992 as an aircraft specialist. He was a jokester and always had a story to tell. Glenn enjoyed playing dominos and fishing. He was an avid Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed traveling across the country, including 22 states and going to family reunions. Survivors include his children, Ronnie Manning and Lynne and Debra Manning Bellah and Kenneth; son-in-law, Del Sponable; grandchildren, Charles Wesley Oneal, Wende Lynne Oneal, Michael Glenn Manning, Donald Lynn Langford, Mignon Joynene Langford, Amber Dawn Bellah, Amanda Gail Bellah, Ashley Dewayne Bellah, Rhonda Kastrop, Loretta Brant and Shawndel Snider; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandson and another on the way; brothers, Evan Manning Jr. and Willis Manning and wife , Rose Mary; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Jean Bruton Manning on Jan. 25, 2006; daughter, Jilisha Sponable; four brothers and one sister.
