Graveside service for Harold Lester Poore, 71, of Sanger will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 29, 2017 in the Bono Cemetery. Chaplain Sean Davis will officiate. Visitation will be from 9-9:45 A.M., Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the service. Harold Lester Poore passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Sanger. He was born Oct. 6, 1945 in Alameda, CA to Lester Harold and Rose Balding Poore. He married Dorothy Janice Welborn on Feb. 8, 2003 in Sanger. Mr. Poore served in the United States Air Force and worked as a FedEx courier, retiring with 27 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather; great grandfather; stepfather and a friend to many. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his beloved wife, Jan Poore of Sanger; three children, Melissa Northcott and husband Jason of Denton, Kim Potter and husband Doug of Hurst, and Brett Poore of Sanger; stepchildren, Casey Welborn and wife Tammy of Sanger, Mark Turpin and wife Sherri of Dallas and Jana White and husband Brett of Vernon; 11 grandchildren; one great grandson; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents.
