Service for Helen Lucille Jay, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the First Mount Zion Baptist Church. The Reverends Willie Stevenson and E.D. Ingram will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., at the church, prior to the service. Helen Lucille Jay passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Ft. Worth. She was born April 16, 1927 in Cleburne to J.D. and Lillie Mae Warren Jimmerson. She married John W. Jay and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Jay graduated from Houston-Tillotson College and worked as a nurse in her younger years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she was a church mother and deaconess. Her love and devotion for her family and her church will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her children, Cynthia Brown and husband Ernest and Janice Marshburn; brother, Alfred Jimmerson and wife Jean; sister in law, Betty Jimmerson; grandchildren, Ernest Brown Jr. and wife Cheryl, Lisa Edmond and husband Chris and Brandi Gaut and husband Kevin; nine great grandchildren, Ernest Brown III and wife Ericka, Deborah Brown, Stephen Kane Jr., Diemond Brown, Elisea Edmond, Chris Edmond Jr., Krystal Edmond, Ebony Edmond and Kambri Gaut; and several other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Grant Jr.; sister and brother in law, Marie and Fred Hogan; brother, J.D. Jimmerson and grandson, Stephen Brown.
