Graveside services for Herman Hanna, Jr., 88, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 27, 2012 in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne.
Mr. Hanna passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born to Herman, Sr. and Ethel Gandy Hanna on March 15, 1923 in Meridian. Herman attended grade school in Meridian and high school in Kopperl. He served in the United States Army from 1941 - 1945, during World War II, where he was stationed in the Pacific Theatre. He was involved in the invasion of Saipan and Okinawa. After being discharged from the Army, he married Juanita Worley on October 31, 1945 in Meridian. Herman retired from General Dynamics in 1988, after working as a Master Toolman for over 15 years. He attended Nolan River Road Church of Christ. Herman was an avid sportsfan, especially of the Mavericks, Rangers, and Cowboys. He was a man of character who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Herman is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Juanita Hanna, daughter, Sherron Altaras, son, Benny Hanna, and brother, Virgil Hanna.
Survivors include his daughter in law, Valerie Hanna; grandsons Briklin Hanna and his wife, Alyssa, Taylor Hanna, and Kellan Hanna; great granddaughter, Cherilyn Hanna; and a host of other relatives and friends.
