Visitation for Herman Smith, 68, of Kopperl will be conducted from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, August 24, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Mr. Smith passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born May 21, 1944 in Cleburne to J.B. and Vivian Odell Kuykendall Smith. He married Linda Jane Moses on Jan. 10, 1964 in Meridian. Mr. Smith was a retired welder and a member of First Baptist Church of Kopperl. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda Smith of Kopperl; father, J.B. Smith of Cleburne; daughter, Teresa Hamilton and husband Boyd of Kopperl; son, Jimmy Smith and wife Katherine of Kopperl; seven grandchildren, Brandi, Jeffrey, Jessie, Manda, Jimmy, Kenneth and Chloe; two great grandchildren, Jayden and Haleigh; three sisters, Peggy Evartt and husband Ted of Rio Vista; Patsy Coins and husband Butch of Kopperl and Barbara Barnett and husband Wayne of Laguna Park; and one brother, James Smith and wife Anita of Kopperl; He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Odell Smith and a grandson, Dylan Smith.
