Private graveside services for Homer Daniel Hanna, 59, of Newark, Texas, will be conducted Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Greenacres Memorial Park. Chaplain Brad Riza will officiate. Homer Hanna passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 in Decatur. He was born September 11, 1960 in Cleburne to Archie Homer Hanna Jr. and Neoma Ruth Bunyard Hanna. He served his country in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Korea. He then continued his service as a Sergeant with the Tarrant County Police Department. He married Katherine Margaret Hughes in Fort Worth on February 26, 1994. He was of the Baptist Faith. Homer was a fisherman, hunter and horseman. He was an all-round country boy at heart who dearly loved his family. His sense of humor was wonderful. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Katherine Hanna; sister, Donna Fowler; nieces, Shellie Gentry and husband Jason, Trudy Hernandez and husband Marco; great-niece, Emma Gentry; great-nephews, Julien Gentry, Miles Gentry and Luis Hernandez. Preceding him in death were his parents, Homer and Neoma Hanna.
