Jack Shelley Sr., 77, of Blum passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 in Blum. He was born Feb. 6, 1937 in Gorman, the son of Truman O. and Hattie M. Shelley. Mr. Shelley worked as a mechanic and toolmaker at LTV and Vought. He was fun loving and adventurous. He enjoyed racing cars, rebuilding sports cars, and skydiving. He was also a pilot. His strong will and independent streak will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his children, Truman Elbert Shelley and Jack Benny Shelley Jr. and wife Tamara; grandson, Blake Michael Shelley; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jean Shelley in 2011. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
