Jack Thomas

Service for Jack Thomas, 87, of Cleburne will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, March 20, 2014 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cary Rogers, Johnny Rogers, Kenneth Johnson, Gordie Twerberg, Rodney Thomas and Jay Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Baker and Ryan Rogers. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 P.M., with Rosary at 7:30 P.M. Mr. Thomas passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Ft. Worth. He was born June 8, 1926 in Johnson County to Andrew and Maude Cashion Thomas. He married Rita Wieneskie in 1947 in Cleburne and she preceded him in death on July 19, 2006. Mr. Thomas served in the United States Navy. He was a self-employed barber and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include his brother, Bill Thomas of Petaluma, Calif.; friend and companion, Sue Roll; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a son, Eric Thomas in July of 2013.
