Service for James M. “Buddy” Dawson, 75, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Hart, Kyle Dawson, Nathan Lesley, Darrell Orrell, Jackie Daniel, Neal Lanman, Scout Walker, Manual Cruz and Felipe Cruz. James M. “Buddy” Dawson passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Cleburne. He was born April 25, 1944 in Cleburne to James Lawrence and Edith Winnell (Smith) Dawson. He married Deborah Ann Doud on February 25, 1995 in Brownwood. He graduated in 1962 from Cleburne High School. James “Buddy” was self employed as owner of Heart of Texas Wall and Floor Coverings in Brownwood prior to which he had over 20 years with Texas Steel Co. in Fort Worth. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife Deborah Dawson of Cleburne; step-son, Brandon Jeffcoats and wife Norma of Abilene; brother Mike Dawson and wife Judy of Cleburne; sister, Ann Hart and John of Rockwall; grandchildren, Shelby, Hailee, Peyton and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parent.
