James Pollard

Service for James Charles Pollard, 58 of Alvarado will be conducted at 12 Noon, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 in the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church. Elder Charles Chandler and the Rev. Emery Sumberlin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kevin Thomas, Marcus Bridgewater, Ronald Thomas, Rodney Allen, Melvin Norwood, Kasey Johnson and Flint Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Martinez Jr. and Hollywood Mitchell. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Mr. Pollard passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. He was born Sept. 17, 1954 in Cleburne to Booker T., Sr. and Beatrice Margaret Brown Pollard. He married Lenettra Bates. Mr. Pollard worked as a machinist at Halliburton with 35 years of service. He was a member of First Mount Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Lenettra Pollard of Alvarado; daughter, Toysha Solomon and husband Demaurea of Katy; son, Andrew Bates and wife Kara of Cleburne; parents, Booker T. and Beatrice Pollard of Cleburne; four grandchildren, Tiara Pollard, Deja Norris Bates; Jaela Bates, and Oren Solomon; step grandchild, Myah Wooldridge; brother, Norman Douglas Pollard and wife Venessa of Cleburne; three sisters, Katherine Carter and husband James of El Paso, Barbara Rochelle and husband Nelson of Cleburne and Wanda Richard of Cleburne; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Booker T. Pollard Jr., Paul Pollard, Samuel Pollard, Margaret Jean Pollard and Rosetta Pollard.
