Graveside service for James H. “Buddy” Rose Jr., 91, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Rosehill Cemetery. The Reverend John Glover will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home. James H. “Buddy” Rose Jr. passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at his home in Cleburne. He was born October 3, 1922 in Mexia to James Herman and Ethel Jones Rose. He married Nell Flippin on August 30, 1942 in Rio Vista and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2009. Mr. Rose served in the United States Army. Buddy was plant manager for Cleburne Poultry and Egg for more than 25 years and retired for Cle-Tex Egg Company. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Allen and husband Tommy; sons, Benjamin A. Rose and wife Yolanda, David G. Rose and wife Donna, and James Gary Rose and wife Carol; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Sonny Rose and wife Jo; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Amy Lynn Rose; and sister, Evelyn Graves. Memorials in his honor may be made to the charity of your choice.
