Funeral services for Jay "PaPaw" Holland, 86, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Reverends John Glover and Charles Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery with Jimmy Quattlebaum, Curtis Horton, Nicholas Neal, Shane Neal, Joe Reyna, and Pete Hobby serving as pallbearers. Jack Quattlebaum, Noel Quattlebaum, Gary McAlister, Christopher Neal, and Connor Neal will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org . Mr. Holland passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 in Fort Worth. He was born to W.W. and Eula Mae Hammons Holland. Jay married Fern Quattlebaum on July 19, 1948 in Hillsboro, Texas. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church and worked in the meat packing industry. Jay was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bobbie Nell Weaver; and 2 brothers, Bud and Curtis Holland. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Fern Holland; daughter, Cherilyn Holland; grandsons, Shane Neal and his wife, Amber and Nicholas Neal and his wife, Tiffany; great grandsons, Christopher and Connor; great granddaughters, Kennedy, Kambry, and Karter; brother, Marvin Holland and his wife, Frances; nephews, Jimmy Holland and William Holland; and a host of other relatives and friends.
