Service for J.D. Wayne Smith, 93, of Joshua will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, Mar. 29, 2016 in the DFW national Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home. J.D. Wayne Smith passed away Tuesday, Mar. 22, 2016 in Cleburne. He was born Nov. 12, 1922 in Franklin to Nathaniel and Margaret Smith. Mr. Smith served in the United States Army and was a brick mason. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his children, Frederick Wayne Smith of Burleson and Michael J. Smith and wife Phyllis of Corinth; grandchildren, Dawn, Michelle, Natalie, Jennifer, Amanda, Carla, and Jamie; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Nathan Smith; sister, Evelyn; and beloved dogs, Buddy and Julie.
