Service for Jean Wakeland, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 6, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Wakeland passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 in Ft. Worth. She was born Oct. 27, 1925 in Godley to Elria and Alice Horton Walker. She married J.C. Wakeland. Mrs. Wakeland was retired, with more than 20 years service from Life Like Products in Waxahachie and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Jerry Wakeland and wife Wanda of Ft. Worth and Jay Wakeland of Cleburne; two grandchildren, Geoffrey Wakeland and Alise Wakeland, both of Ft. Worth; several other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.C. Wakeland; and three brothers.
