Joan West

Service for Joan West, 78, of Burleson will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home. Mrs. West passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 in Ft. Worth. She was born April 20, 1934 in Rochester to Jodie Cedell and Maggie May Brown Bristow. She married Guy West. Mrs. West was a beautician. She was active in the Burleson community and a member of the Heritage Foundation in Burleson. She formerly owned Joan's Styles Unlimited, and also the Kountry Kitchen Restaurant in Burleson. Mrs. West was a member of Cross Timbers Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Guy West of Burleson; sons, Leslie West, Dale West and wife, Sandra and Steve West and wife, Sally; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers, E.J. and David Bristow; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Ronnie Bristow.
