A memorial service for Johnnie Wynelle Cooper, 82, of Covington will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at Woodrow Baptist Church in Covington. Pastor Sam Houston will officiate. Johnnie Wynelle Cooper passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 in Covington. She was born July 16, 1934 in Covington to James Harrison and Velma Minnie Lou Hauk Conner. Ms. Cooper was a seamstress and a loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to many. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Patsy Cooper of Covington; grandchildren, Kevin Wayne Cooper, Kristopher James Cooper, Gary Wayne Cooper, Jr., Johnny Eugene Cooper, Sandy Michelle Wyman, Jeanne Lynn Sullivan, Robert Monroe, and Glenn Tidwell, Jr.; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Freddy Conner of Covington, Dwight Conner of Cleburne, and Bryan Conner of Covington; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Jerrie Lynn Doty; one grandchild; three great grandchildren; brother, Marion Conner; and sister, Sarah Lozier.
