Johnnie Gent

Service for Johnnie Marie Adair Gent, 75, of Cleveland, TN, formerly of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Jim Dyer will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Gent passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Cleveland, TN. She was born July 15, 1938 in Cleburne to John and Lois Kennedy Adair. She married Clarence Gent on April 5, 1936 in Okla. and he preceded her in death in May of 2010. Mrs. Gent was a homemaker. She was a very outgoing and never met a stranger. She loved to play slots, classic country music and crocheting. Mrs. Gent was of the Baptist faith. Her love for life and people will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her children, Diania Rogers and husband Bobby, Linda Dyer and husband James and Sandra Morgan and husband Audie; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, siblings, Charlotte Collins, Barbara SoRelle, Bobby Adair and Donnie Adair; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, Ricky Gent on October 19, 2009; granddaughter, Laurie Rogers and siblings, Jimmy and Larry Adair.
