Service for Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Hafford, 80, of Ft. Worth will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, August 2, 2014 in the Carter Metropolitan CME in Ft. Worth. The Reverend Louis Simmons and Dr. Lloyd Watkins will officiate. Interment will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, in Greenlawn Cemetery in Cleburne. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Byner, Virgil Lee, Virgil Palmer, Wade Love, Calvin Palmer, Andrew Boston, Andrew Palmer and Willie Hafford. Honorary pallbearers will be the Carter Metropolitan Stewards, Joseph Webb Sr., Virgil L. Palmer, Hershel Williams, Carter Curtis, Artis Barrett, and Curtis Roberson. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home and 10:00-Noon, Saturday, at the church. Johnnie Ruth Hafford passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Ft. Worth. She was born May 4, 1934 in Center, Texas to Bryant and Frances Jackson Booth. Mrs. Hafford worked at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, retiring with more than 20 years of service. She was a member of the Carter Metropolitan CME. Survivors include her children, Evelyn Palmer and husband Virgil, Queen Hafford, Wade Hafford and wife Evelora, Teresa Hafford-Bannerman, and Joe Hafford and wife Angelica; grandchildren, Julie Palmer, Virgil L. Palmer, Jonathan Byner, Wade Love, Calvin Palmer, Marquita Hafford, Willie Hafford, Brittany Boston, Nicole Hafford, Isaiah Hafford and Emmanuel Hafford; and great grandchildren, Andrew Palmer, LeShawn Palmer, Jackyrie Byner, Keirra Palmer, Torren J. Love, Lila B. Love, Jaila Byner, Braeden A. Love, Crisstal Palmer, Cameron Palmer, Ashley Palmer, Deja Palmer, and Sir Legion Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Willie Ray Hafford; and siblings, Julia Conerway, Bryant Booth Jr., Talmadge Combs, and Joe Henry Booth.
